About AMCS

Background
With over 20 years’ experience in retail management, store design and space planning, Adrian can boast to being one of the few people in the country having been involved in ranging, planning and fitting out stores and sites ranging from 1100ft² up to 6 acres.
His CV includes well-known brands such as:
• Booker Cash & Carry
• One Stop Stores
• Jewson

Career Achievements Include:
• Planning, specifying & commissioning a full "dummy" store.
• Leading a project aimed at raising standards and reducing stockholding in the company's top 100 branches.
• Developed bespoke range selection tool.
• Creation of a new merchandising function in the UK’s leading convenience retailer.
• Selection, purchase and commissioning of a new space planning system.
• Involved on the UK & European project team for a multi-million pounds investment in a new buying and supply chain system.
• Production of industry first merchandising manuals.

Development
In its first year of trading, AMCS has worked with even more names such as:
• YMCA
• BAE
• Saint Gobain Building Distribution

In the first quarter of 2011, along with Strath Elgin, AMCS launched a retail point of sale signage system which is compatible with all of the major UK shelving systems and can be fitted in minutes by any member of staff.

Following on from this, we are working on more in store “theatre” in order to offer a complete point of sale solution for both retail and trade businesses.

 



 

Away from Work
A little about the man behind the suit... Away from work I'm married with two fantastic children. I enjoy being involved in a number of community youth groups having coached youth football and creating and running a website for the team. I'm a qualified FA coach, a licensed theatre chaperone and sometime school governor.
